Owens-Illinois Inc has said that they will be investigating their Samuel Adams Beer bottles after issuing a voluntary recall. The Sam Adams bottles are produced in The Boston Beer Co, the ones affected are the 12-ounce bottles

The bottles have been made to the same manufacturing specifications as all their other bottles, however after some routine quality control inspections a few defects were found on the Sam Adams Beer Bottles. Small bits of glass can break off, as a result could fall into the bottle.

This poses a huge health risk, Owens-Illinois shares have been affected by this recall. The company’s shares fell 88 cents.
