Pregnant Man Thomas Beatie reveals ultrasound to Oprah Winfrey

When Thomas Beatie came out and told the world that he was pregnant everyone thought it was a hoax but this is not the case in fact it is true.
Tonight Thomas and his wife Nancy will appear on Oprah Winfrey’s chat show to show off his baby bump and announce that they are in fact expecting a baby girl in July. Although Thomas has legally become a man after having a sex change he decided to keep his female reproductive organs and doctors have confirmed that Thomas is in fact pregnant.
Nancy was unable to conceive because of a hysterectomy she had after an illness so Thomas decided to be the one who had the child. Its said that he used a sperm donor to get pregnant using a home insemination kit.
Thomas said that “Wanting a biological child is neither a male nor a female desire, but a human desire”.

It sounds like you need Jesus way more than anyone else. Stop using your religious beliefs to hide your views of prejudice and bigotry … if this can happen, the “What kind of world are we living in” that you speak of will automatically become safer and more accepting for all people.
Who are any of us to judge? I believe that child will be loved far greater than some people ever will be. It will be society that treats them wrongly because of people like some of these commentors who are telling them they are wrong to bring a child into this world.

Dis is plain stupid dis women should be happy for how she was made and dis is not a miracle she still has a women in her and she didn’t have removed her uterus and ovaries…… i think this should have never been showed on tv i am very dissapointed in Oprah how could she put dis nonsence on tv wut is happaning to this community thanks to oprah and dis couple many discusions have been made and this is gona become very uggly everyone is now talking about wut they think is right nd sooner our latter did sis gona become very uggly. This is a joke, I thought Oprah was above this kind of sensationalist garbage. This is what our country is coming too? It’s hard to imagine that someone with a mental illness so severe that they would get a sex change and then impregnate themselves would be subject to a seat on a prestigious talk show and not a seat across from a psychologist in a mental institution.

This is not a miracle! Can’t people see that she is still a woman even after the sex change? A woman will always be a woman and a man a man no matter what operations they have. God created man and woman and nothing else! Wake up people, not a miracle after all!
I think this is sick! They both need help! I feel sorry for the baby girl. Who will be so confused as she gets older. I totally agree with Sylvia Rivera, God created woman and man. God made you who you are! I think people are just sick in their minds when it comes to things like this. Dont know what this world is coming to, but its SAD!

This is absolutely ABSURD! What kind of world are we living in these days. Let me see if I have this straight: This person was born a female, decided to become a male; he had surgeries to remove some parts of her/his anatomy however knew that one day HE would want to have a baby, do I have this right? Is this really happening? HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW will we explain this to our sons and daughters that will be exposed to this NONSENSE through the media? This is such a shame. I am SO saddened for this child. I am sure her “parents” will love her deeply however have they even attempted to comprehend the CONFUSION and CRITICISM that this child will have to endure throughout her life? HOW DARE YOU SELFISH PEOPLE BRING A CHILD INTO THIS WORLD TO HAVE TO ENDURE THIS. HOW UNFAIR FOR THIS CHILD!
Shame on Oprah. I thought she’d risen above FREAK shows like this one. And how SELFISH these two morons are to bring a child into the world to be raised in this environment. It’s one thing to be screwed up in the head, but leave the innocent children out of it. “IT” is getting exactlty what “IT” wants and that’s publicity. I wouldn’t give you a second look, and that includes the “book” deal that’s in the works. “IT” will be backpage news in a few weeks and then what do “IT” have??
You guys are all so judgemental. If this man wants to have a kid, he can. Some people might choose adoption, he’s just picked a different…route. And lay off Oprah. It’s her show, not yours. Do you have a talk show? No. You don’t get to pick who does or does not appear on your TV screen.

Now, I don’t mean that in a judgemental way, but can you see how it would hurt if I had?
This is what you call love. A man willing to have a child for his wife because she’s not able to is true love. Even when a woman is pregnant, the men don’t really support what their wives go through. I work in radiology and majority of the women who come in for their ob ultrasound come alone. For a man to do this for his wife, is a saint. What people do is their business. This does not affect us in anyway. Who are we to judge? I suggest we let them be and be grateful that Thomas has a loving family who supports him in his decisions. Not many people out there in the world have that kind of support.
