Pregnant Man Thomas Beatie reveals ultrasound to Oprah Winfrey

When Thomas Beatie came out and told the world that he was pregnant everyone thought it was a hoax but this is not the case in fact it is true.
Tonight Thomas and his wife Nancy will appear on Oprah Winfrey’s chat show to show off his baby bump and announce that they are in fact expecting a baby girl in July. Although Thomas has legally become a man after having a sex change he decided to keep his female reproductive organs and doctors have confirmed that Thomas is in fact pregnant.
Nancy was unable to conceive because of a hysterectomy she had after an illness so Thomas decided to be the one who had the child. Its said that he used a sperm donor to get pregnant using a home insemination kit.
Thomas said that “Wanting a biological child is neither a male nor a female desire, but a human desire”.

This is absolutely ABSURD! What kind of world are we living in these days. Let me see if I have this straight: This person was born a female, decided to become a male; he had surgeries to remove some parts of her/his anatomy however knew that one day HE would want to have a baby, do I have this right? Is this really happening? HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW will we explain this to our sons and daughters that will be exposed to this NONSENSE through the media? This is such a shame. I am SO saddened for this child. I am sure her “parents” will love her deeply however have they even attempted to comprehend the CONFUSION and CRITICISM that this child will have to endure throughout her life? HOW DARE YOU SELFISH PEOPLE BRING A CHILD INTO THIS WORLD TO HAVE TO ENDURE THIS. HOW UNFAIR FOR THIS CHILD! YOU PEOPLE NEED JESUS, and apparently so does Oprah to condone this! I will keep you all in my prayers….

People should definitely be more open minded.
Lesbian’s and gay couples are able to have children and their children grow up into good people. So why should this couple not do the same?
They seem like a loving family to me…

Oh and Jessica, I feel bad for you that you need to look to Jesus for comfort… I mean really if these things are happening in the world, is god really there to protect your innocent eyes from viewing such things? (sarcastic).
Being transgender doesn’t mean you have a mental illness. There is nothing wrong with people who feel they are meant to be the opposite sex, they aren’t freaks or any lower than you are. Majority of people are aware and open minded about these kinds of differences in people these days so I doubt this child will edure all those difficulties you’ve mentioned while she grows up. And on that subject, since when does a person have to feel bad about where they came from, what their background is just because others say she has to. It’s all a matter of oppinion and I honestly doubt that this child will listen to the negative things people have to say, it’s only their ignorence anyway, why should she listen.
You all need to start accepting people for who they are. And for the religious people, God tells you not to judge, that’s his job, so shut the hell up!
Good People Thomas was not born a He,she was born a She so there is definitely no miracle there the fact that she didnt change her reproductive organs when she was going through her confusion period…so her being pregnant is normanl for ‘SHE’ people.please stop embracing some things which need not to be emraced….when she decided to be a HE why didnt she change everything? you know why because she knew deep down that she has not fulfiled some things in her life she just wanted to go through some fantasies of being a man for some time.the logic people….. it was only temporary if really she wanted to trasnform why didnt she change EVERYTHING?why did she leave the Female REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS?She knew it was only temporary so NO MIRACLES there just an ordinary thing…i feel sorry for the innocent child………………………….

i’m sure this baby will be loved and well looked after and surely in this day and age thats the most important thing. and to be bought up with an open mind can only be a good thing looking at some of the above comments.
This is a abomination. First this women take a beautiful body and mutilates it with a sex change. Then impregntes herself with a child. You are not a man you are a woman. Abomination have you even thought about the effect this will have on the child. You homosexuals and lesbians are so selfish and self centered that you don’t even take into consideration that child.
How can so many of you spread so much hate? Talking about the poor child, there would be no need to worry about the child if there weren’t people already discriminating against her. Her family is loving and courageous, I have no doubt she will be raised quite well, with a very strong character.
As for saying Thomas didn’t undertake all the surgeries because he knew it was temporary, well that’s just ridiculous. Do you have any idea how invasive and costly bottom surgery is? And the fact that some people just don’t feel the need to do it because their organs do not define who they are. Some of you appear to think that this decision is fleeting and easy, but rather it’s one of the hardest anyone can make in their lifetime.
Thomas and Nancy - Congratulations. Their baby girl will undoubtedly have more love and moral fiber in her upbringing than her classmates who will be taught bigotry and intolerance. It makes me aggravated all the comments and judgements against this event. I wish people would realize this world we live in encompasses more than just our own backyards and this world is changing every second of every day. We are a diverse people and we are all humans with the same emotional and phsyical needs. There is nothing warped about that….but there is something warped in not taking the time to understand or appreciate the differences in our world.
Ok…to say the least it came as perfect discussion matter for my ethics class. God created us male and female. Plain and simple. He didn’t make a mistake when he made me a WOMAN or “Thomas” either. “Thomas” obviously has had some confusion in HER life that led HER to the decision SHE made to become a “man” in the first place.
Just because God has allowed the technology, doesn’t mean that it good. As a WOMAN, that like Nancy, had a hysterectomy without being able to have children, I am absolutely mortified that this is being made such a big deal of. “Thomas” is still a WOMAN just as God created HER to be. The proof lies in the fact that SHE did not have HER FEMALE organs removed becaus SHE still wanted a family of HER own.
My prayer is for this child, that she will grow up in a loving atmosphere and not be damaged by the sins of her “mothers”.
And to some of the other comments that are being made…What is wrong with being so black and white? God created us male and female…not “she-male” and “he-female”. Sounds like we are visiting Sodom and Gomorrah to me.
I pray that we are in the end times. Things are looking darker and darker to me.
I think there are many people in the world who need to lighten up a bit and stop being so close-minded about everything. There are people who are not like you in the world, if everyone were alike this world would be boring.
Yes, it is possible for this man to have a baby because he has female reproductive organs. No, he is not someone who needs a psychologist because he has a mental illness. There are people in this world born with both male and female parts. Do you really think that its not possible for this man to be born with female parts?
If you were that person, you try and deal with that growing up. And you are calling him psychotic and saying he needs special help… You really don’t know what he has been through until you’re in that situation. Who are you to judge someone else standing in your own shoes?
