Last night 20 year old Ramiele Malubay was the fourth finalist to be eliminated from American Idol’s seventh season
Ramiele sang “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” judge Randy Jackson said that “It was kind of alright. You showed some signs of strength right there conviction; I thought it was a pretty good performance. I’m going to say a six-and-a-half out of 10.”
Judge Paula Abdul called it “a great minute-and-30-seconds”.
Simon said “Look, we’re not going to remember this in 10-years time are we. It was cute. You sang it quite well. Overall, I thought it was forgettable and I think it was very reminiscent of something you would see and hear on a cruise ship if you want my honest opinion.”
American Idol’s Top 8 are as follows:
Michael Johns, David Archuleta, David Cook, Jason Castro, Carly Smithson, Brooke White, Kristy Lee Cook and Syesha Mercado.
It’s said that on Thursday another finalist will be eliminated from the competition based on home viewer votes, revealing the Top 7 finalists.

I thought the judges were a little harsh on Ramiele this week. Still she most likely was the weakest vocalist left. Still I wish her well as she prepares for the tour. She is beautiful inside and out and I wish her nothing but success.
the only performances i liked for dolly parton week were: syesha, david a., brooke white, and KLC. michael did really good on queen but was too sloppy this week. david c. sang the falsetto too much and it was weird. jason castro has a small voice and can’t get rid of the guitar. carly smithson did ok, but it was kind of weird. the only thing i didn’t like about syesha’s is that last note she sang too long.
i think next week klc will go because she’s been in the bottom 2 too many times.
