Adobe’s Photoshop CS4 update: 64-bit only for windows not Mac

Photoshop CS4 without a doubt has to be adobe’s flagship piece of software and as we know will be a full 64-bit application once the Creative Suite 4 is released. However this 64-bit version will only be available on Windows, Mac users will have to wait just a little longer before they can benefit from the full 64-bit features.
The problem is that Apple discontinued its Carbon 64-bit program; as a result a number of companies including Adobe were left with no avenue to be able to produce its program for a 64-bit code base. To be able to port software into 64-bit on a Mac you have to use Cocoa, and that as many might know is not a simple task.
