Gran Turismo 5 Prologue hands on online gaming: It is pathetic!

Having played Gran Turismo 5 Prologue I will give you my honest review, some may get offended but oh well it is an opinion well worth talking about.
Playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and just playing the game going through the classes is truly amazing and would say it is the best driving game I have ever played and for some reason cannot put the controller down. I have been addicted to CoD4, but until I got this game I have not played Call of Duty 4 for a while now.
Anyway that is the good bit now I will tell you how I feel about playing Gran Turismo 5 Prologue online, after about the 20th time to do the update I finally got to play online and to tell you the truth wish I never.
Racing around the track and obviously wanting to come first is all good but for idiots just basically using your car to help themselves around the corners or to take you off the track is totally pathetic, these boys and girls need to learn how to play a fair game and not cheat.
This is why they really do need to put DAMAGE on the full version game and if they do not then please DO NOT even bother bringing the game out. Please do not get me wrong the game is fantastic and I love it to bits and many of you will agree with me, but either they need to put damage on or ban people playing online if they cheat.

Not offended at all, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Online game play is embarrassing, where are all those highly skilled GT fans to drive with? It’s like 5 year olds playing online at the moment… dam shame as it had huge potential and it’s been a big flop. They have loads of work before the full GT5 game comes out. I somehow don’t think a year is long enough to fix it all! A bitterly disappointed GT fan
I agree - the game itself is amazing but the online play is rubbish. Other cars appear jerky and everyone spends their time taking you off. I’ve given up on the online part and am just enjoying progressing through the cups. Shame there’s only 3 though.
I can’t believe that. I don’t know what to make of your comment but I feel that you either don’t know how to drive and being all pissy about it or your telling the absolute truth. What is wrong with banging? Things you can do in a game you can’t do on the road. That is what makes online racing so fun. I really need to try it for myself. Luckly Xboxers no how to drive so I have a hard time buying what your saying.
The only experience I have had in a racing game where people did not race was midnight club. People would come online just to show off their cars and hit the hydrolics. Midnight club upto now has had some of the best mods and tweaking of cars that I have ever seen. Even though people did not race much it was fun just showing off your car and talking about it. Even if it was not real.
Ricky just so you know there is not 3 classes i have done c, b, and a and yes thecredits come up but when you go back to event you will see a new class called “S”
hmm i haven’t got problem with the online play it really sucks when your joining the non professional mode with sticky tires on, all they do is bumping around and run you over…i always join the pro mode with everything off and normal or sports tires it’s a lot of fun and people will respect you more if you all have the same setting..
p.s: don’t race on oval course or wide like daytona (use the road course) or fuji a lot of rookies are there.
Yer Sony’s complete lack of knowledge of online gaming sticks out here like a dogs cock!, they must of tested this on a bunch of buddhist monks or something, because unless your Elton John getting whacked up the @rse every five minutes isnt fun!!… these people need to be punished, being used as there rail to get round corners might be fun for them, but when your sitting at home facing the wrong was after some c**t has bumped you again, makes you want to turn into pure electricity, go down the cable & fry there eyes in their f**king sockets!!….sorry, as you can tell, i have play GT5 online last night…
