Want your PC game playing to be even more realistic? This is the ultimate accessory for you. This flak jacket simulates every shot, punch and explosion, using eight pneumatic cells. While the 3rd Space FPS Vest is just for PC’s, Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 gamers are going to want this. Could you imagine playing COD4 with this impact vest on, the times when I am playing and just feel like running out and end up dying 5 times in row will not be happening with this vest on, unless I have a hunger for pain.
Would you want to feel the force of every shot you take in FPS games?
The product includes a copy of Activision’s Call of Duty 2 and 3rd Space Incursion game disc, a power supply, USB cable, air compressor and the FPS Gaming Vest for just under £150 (about $295). You will also need Microsoft Windows XP or higher.

I own an Xbox 360 and i’m quite happy with the feedback you get through rumble, i would think this kind of gimmick would apeal more to Wii fans except fps’s arent that popular on the system so maybe not.
Maybe joining the army and getting shot for real would be a little more authentic only i’m pretty sure soldiers jackets don’t just vibrate when they are shot with 50 calibre sniper rifles.
In all seriousness though i think the £150 would be better spent on a couple of paintball matches if that’s the kind of thing that floats your boat, it may have some limited apeal for gamers but it seems to me to be another tool for army recruiters to glorify war.
This sounds like a great idea for everyone in the world except me unfortunately. Being that I have never been struck by an enemy bullet, and never will be I can’t see how this would be of any use to me. Oh well I’m sure all the noobs that I pwn on a daily basis will get lots of use from this vest.
this is a great idea as people are wanting more and more tech. to make a 3d gaming world so this will be worth the £150 it takes
so does this work on ps3 or not?
Hi Bob, i don’t think they are compatible with game consols yet, which is a huge shame. I read somewhere that the company who makes them is working on compatability issues though and will issue a software update when it’s sorted. Let’s hope it’s soon eh ‘coz i’d love to get one of these vests for when playing COD4
I would want the gaming vest if it was for 360. Its not about glorifying war but creating an immersive experience. Movies and books are intended for the same purpose, games are just better at it, in my opinion. Having a gaming vest, that doesnt injure you but does hurt(I guess you could always have settings), will make you weary to just run ‘n gun. It will help show you that tactics, strategy and skill are what will get you through, not brute force. Unless youre into pain.
You get surround sound for immersion, this is the same idea.
