  1. During my youth living in Barrington Illinois Wally Phillips was an instituiton at my house. My Mom listened religiously every day to his show. I remember distictly Wally asking for a joke and my Mother got in and told him an old italian joke and he sent her some hoisery. I will never forget the radio in our kitchen and my Mom’s fascination with Wally Phillips. I can vividly remember my Mom saying “You tell him Wally”.

  2. Carl LaMonica Sr. says:

I remember when I got Wally’s autograph on my Bandstand Matinee ticket stub when he was the host of that TV teen dance show for awhile. My family listened to Wally at home while getting ready for school and then later on at work where his radio show was piped in over the office speakers. We will never forget Wally’s wit and humor, and all those contest questions and prizes, and his love for the Chicago area community and for all people. We were blessed to have Wally make life a little better for each of us every day. God bless you Wally Phillips.
