When your browsing the web in Safari for a few hours you can end up with tons of windows open thanks to webmasters linking with the target=”_blank” command, well here is an Apple Mac tip to get those windows to open in a new tab which in most cases is much better.
The latest version of Safari (3.1) included a hidden feature that lets you achieve this. All you need to do is enable the TargetedClicksCreateTabs preference with the command below (Make sure Safari’s not running).
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true
If you need to undo this setting, delete the preference.
