Hands-on: Call of Duty 4 vs Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on Sony PS3 & Xbox 360

Call of Duty 4 vs Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Call of Duty 4 has been a massive success on the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360, it has taken up most of my gaming time and I have found it extremely addictive while playing online. The prestige ranks may get really repetitive but I just do not know why I keep playing to climb them…but I do.

The first Rainbow Six Vegas game was good fun in my books, but nothing compared to COD4 but now we have Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and although I got my hands on it a few days ago, COD4 has not wanted to let go of me. RBS2 has got some game time and in that short time I could see that its got a totally different style of play and one which could be much more realistic than COD4.

The Call of Duty 4 online gaming is what keeps myself and others playing, but it can get very stupid when you shoot someone 100 times and they do not die, while in RBS2 you will find bullets kill (especially in realistic mode), this does make the game much more appealing after weeks of COD4 gaming.

So with the question of Call of Duty 4 vs. Rainbow Six Vegas 2, I would say that many gamers will turn to RBS2 for something much more like real life but they may get bored fast as it’s more of a community playing COD4.

What’s your views on these two great video games and which would you give more gaming time?

Well Daniel i say you are right COD4 is addictive and i cannot seem to put down my Sony PS3 controller down either.

I also have Rainbow Six 2 and have played a little in story mode and must say i like it very much, shooting people is defiently realistic. To be honest it is pointless comparing the two games if COD4 has had all your time and RS2 has only had a little of your time, would you not agree?

They are both good games for different reasons but r6v2 is causing me too much grief on PSN, i’ve downloaded a patch [took ages] but it still lags all over the place and is buggy as hell so as soon as i’ve finished the game i’m trading it in and sticking with cod4 for multiplayer.

RSV2 just owns Cod4. Cod just got boring after a while. RSV2’s customization just pwns COD4.
