Xbox 360 owner move to Sony PS3
With prices of the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 being very close, currently the Playstation 3 is known to have the much better hardware but not the better choice of games.

What would make an Xbox 360 owner move to Sony PS3?

For thousands of people world-wide the answer was simply “RROD”, the hardware was so unreliable that many 360 owners went and brought a PS3 for better hardware and less games (in the hope for more in time).

Now the sides are even:
The Xbox 360’s hardware seems to be much more reliable now with hardly any reports of RROD, so it seems Microsoft have fixed this issue.

The Sony PS3 has not only won the High Definition movie war, but 2008 will see them increase the games collection massively, while it will still not be as good as the Xbox 360 in games collection, it will have more games than you have time to play.

The Xbox 360 has more gamers, so what would make an Xbox 360 owner move to Sony PS3?

Simply put…. The Xbox360 user’s IQ must increase at least 10-fold…. or have their 13th birthday.

    Why have a PS3 over an XBOX=
The PS3 looks like a proper peice of hardware & not some 10 year olds toy.
The PS3 has a blu ray player
The PS3 is free on line
You don’t need batteries for the controllers
The games are sweet, although not as many as xbox, but that is changing & the game developers are starting to understand the superior technology.
The soon to be launched playstation home.
2 many reasons to switch only one to stay & that is the amount of games & as I said that is changing.

I’m a consolewhore so to say, I started off at the PS1 and later on got PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, PS3, PSP, NDS, Wii and the latest supplement, the 360. All consoles are great at their own way, so in my opinion there’s no better or worse than the other, I’ve got to have them all!

Peaple told me to get a PS3 even though I already bought a 360 they said there are lots of people that play online. Unfortunetly they didn’t tell me that the games sucked and no one talks online and their online market sucks and you can’t play against friends unless you happen to find a game their in. The only upside is that its free but I still sent it all back. Even the blue tooth head set which reminded me that I only found i person with a blue tooth head set and I could here every single damn thing in the back ground like his dog on a chew toy and all he does is breath in the mike. Waisted 4 hours of my life trying to get the connection too.

also about BBBBBBBLUE RAY I read a bit about iy. All it does is affect sound and make things darker. Thats it I said as I sratched my head, I laughed out loud and looked some more I huffed and I puffed and kicked my ps3 in the ass and shiped it back to the devil’s lair AKA SONY HQ

I know 3 people who have just sold xbox’s for ps3’s. Their reasons were they only origionally bought the xbox because it was cheaper and have now bought ps3’s at a more reasonable price. I think it is unfair xbox owners have to pay for online gaming where ps3 is free. The reason xbox’s are cheaper is because they do not have wireless connectors built in, free online, Blu ray disk drive and PS3 are built more reliable. Neither of my PS3’s have broken (I have them at the same time not that i got rid of one) My friend is on his 4th Xbox. The Xbox is a good console but lacks too much to the PS3.

by the way ben you spelled people wrong in your first comment (dumbass) and I always connect to friends online (probably because I have some) and a lot of people do use headsets or in my case ps eye microphone. So how much do you pay for online because I don’t pay and which 360 are you on? 5th? 6th?

  9. luke says:

blu ray is awesome it is ten times clear than dvds and xbox disks. also blu ray has ten times the memory. blu ray dvds are highly defined unlike the upgraded ps2 quality disks of the xbox.

Think some posts on here have forgot what the thread is about.
I would expect the PS3 to be a better unit as they delayed the release of the unit many times. Hardware moves on but as of yet, other then the Blue Ray player I can’t see any difference in the games and that what its all about.
As said in the past I wouldn’t move over because they released the unit last in Europe and still charged top whack for the unit when the rest of the world it was going down in price for a software emulated model.
When they did that they alienated its hardcore base just like Nintendo did with the much delayed Nintendo 64. In that case Sony profited from it with the PS1. Fast forward 8-9 years and its Sonys turn to make the mistake of screwing over it loyal fan base and Microsoft and Nintendo gain.
