Oregon Man Pregnant: Mr. Beatie is expecting a baby girl

An Oregon man is pregnant according to The Advocate; they have said “we have verified the pregnancy with Mr. Beatie’s gynecologist”. The man (Mr. Beatie) is expecting a baby girl around July 3, 2008 and the catch is he used to be a woman but now is a transgender male. Legally Mr. Beatie has changed sex to a male, so that does mean this Oregon man is pregnant…how weird is that?
He married Nancy Beatie legally but because she cannot carry a baby, they decided Mr. Beatie would have the baby because when he changed sex the vagina was kept (the breasts were surgically removed).
He is a Transgender pregnant male, but what do you make of this and do you think keeping a vagina still classes you as a man?

This is a woman with her breasts removed. She is still a she, ugh she still has vagina. Do men have a vagina? Ugh why is this even news?

would not have been able to get pregnant. If they kept the vagina, how can this person be anything other then female? This question is ridiculous.
Psssh, big news. There are enough transmen having babies without all this drama out there.
This whole story is confusing because in another artical posted on AOL it says something about when having a “sex change” it is not required to surgically change your insides and that is why he was able to get pregnant. That he is now a man but still has female organs…they had to do a an invitro to get pregnant, therefor, does this not imply he now has a penis on the exterior…there are alot of blanks in this story, who knows if it’s true!
I think i a very unique story. Even he looks like a man his not a man but the idea of doing it is cool…. I wish them the best of luck and i hope they could giv the best education to this child…
I am all for gays, lesbians, and transgender’s but I dont think you should have the goods of both worlds. If you WANT to be a man then go all out or should I say “go balls out” and be a man… same for if you want to be a woman. Why would this even be news?!?! It is the same concept if my girlfriend and I wanted a baby and one of use decided to carry it. Would we make the news?!?! NO!!! Why? BECAUSE WE ARE BOTH WOMEN! If he wants to be a man then I feel that he should take the whole roll of being a man.
