Google like so many other search engines have seen an increase in internet activity on mobile devices. However Google have said that the increase is down to them, as they have introduced faster web services on a selection of cell phones. With this news it seems as if internet on cell phones becoming more popular.
It seems as if Google services on handsets like the Blackberry and Nokia is another reason why Google have seen an increase. Matt Waddell one of the product managers from Google Mobile said “We have very much hit a watershed moment in terms of mobile internet usage,” he then added “We are seeing that mobile internet use is in fact accelerating.”
Also helping with the increase of internet activity on cell phones is flat-rate data plans becoming available on certain carriers.
