Apple Releases Safari 3.1: Fastest Browser on Mac and Windows
By: Peter Chubb | March 21, 2008
Apple have finally released Safari 3.1, which they are saying is the world’s fastest web browser and can be used on both the Mac and Windows PC’s. On average Safari 3.1 will loads web pages 1.9 times faster than IE 7, it’s even 1.7 times faster than Firefox 2. That gives you an idea at just how fast Apple’s web browser is.
If you thought that was it you would be wrong, on average Safari will run JavaScript almost six times as fast as other browsers. The new features of Safari 3.1 allows users to spend more time surfing the net rather than just hanging around waiting for pages to load. The update to Safari has support for all the latest video, audio and animation standards.
