Arthur C. Clarke

We are so upset of this news that the legend and inventor of satellite and one of the best visionaries in technology died yesterday (Wednesday March 18th 2008). Sir Arthur C Clarke died in his adopted home of Sri Lanka.

Arthur C. Clarke is very well known for his books such as “2001: A Space Odyssey” and he is also known for predicted communication satellites. Clarke was knighted by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth in 1998 in recognition of his status as the grand old man of science fiction.

I could sit here all day and write about this amazing man but we will let your say your prayers, all our thoughts go out to Arthur C. Clarke’s family and friends. He will be sadly missed, rest in peace my friend.

I remember watching 2001 for the first time as a child and was so in awe of the potential we have as a race. I just loved the vision he had in his works.
