Well today is a big day in Ireland, as O2 will launch the Apple iPhone there five months after Britain got the most popular handset. The iPhone will cost 399 Euros for the 8GB version and 499 Euros for the 16GB model.
However it seems as if Ireland does not get as good of a deal on the O2 traffic as the people in Britain. For 45 Euros a month you get 175 minutes, 100 texts and 1GB of Data. For 65 Euros you get 350 minutes, 150 texts and 1GB data. And the highest traffic will cost 100 Euros and for that you get 700 minutes, 250 texts and still 1GB of data.
So no matter what traffic you are on O2 will not offer you unlimited data, and you are also tied into an 18-month contract. Apple iPhone users do not even get free The Cloud Wi-Fi access.
