BBC Have Sold Allo Allo to German TV Channel

It has been announced that the BBC has sold the WWII sitcom, Allo Allo to German TV. The show was set in Nazi occupied France and it pokes fun at the Gestapo. Gorden Kaye plays the Café Owner Renee Artois and Carmen Silvera is his wife Edith.
Along with their waitress Yvette who is played by Vicki Michelle they help the Resistance avoid getting into trouble with the Nazis. The programme will be shown on ProSiebenSat1 and will be dubbed into German.
A BBC spokeswoman has stated “Both BBC Worldwide and ProSiebenSat1 are very happy about the deal. ‘Allo ‘Allo is a high quality programme which had not been picked up in Germany until now due to the subject matter,”
