For those of you who own an Apple iPhone or the iPod Touch you will now be pleased to hear that you will now be able to watch BBC programming on the go with the BBC iPlayer.
The iPhone still cannot stream BBC video over the mobile networks, but it can stream the programming over wi-fi networks. The service is only available now to residents of Britain and works for programs within seven days of broadcast.
Anthony Rose who is head of digital media technologies said that “We started with the iPhone because it is the device most optimised for high quality video. It displays the BBC iPlayer site and BBC programmes nicely. We’re working on making BBC iPlayer available on many more browser-enabled devices over the coming months.”
Have you tried that iPlayer out yet if so what do you think?
