US Air Force wants 300 Sony PS3
I know this post will attract many Xbox 360 gamers who are blind to the facts…but here we go. The US Air Force wants 300 Sony PS3’s for a so called “technology assessment”, although they are keeping the details hush hush.

When it comes to gaming the Xbox 360 has an amazing collection of games and a massive following, although the hardware is known for it’s problems. The Sony PS3 is obviously a much better hardware build and in the US Air Forces own words, the Playstation 3 is the “only brand on the market that utilizes the specific cell processor characteristics needed for this program at an acceptable cost.

So other than gaming and Blu-ray movies, this is just another vote for the power of the PS3 from the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Well, _soon_ the games for PS3 _will_ be better. The Xbox 360 isn’t really built to last a long time. It’s sort of… middle-generation. The PS3 is much more powerful, and has much more potential, and will last for a long time. It’s the _real_ next-generation console. Parallel programming is the way of the future.

  5. you people are pathetic says:

well you fanboys are really stretching it, does this make the ps3 anybetter in any shape or form? no. its an assessment, as it stands the xbox has better and more games, a better online service, and a lower price. It was designed to play games and it does thi very well, if they ever release some gmes for my ps3 that I like and if there was a somewhat respectable online for sony i would say the same for ps3, but thats not the case, its a glorified movie player in my eyes and the shiny black brick is nothing but a dust magnet in my home

Point well taken michael… but some people bought the systems for more than just games.

  7. Jonny says:

Does it make the PS3 any better? No, of course not. Statements about reality won’t change reality. And the reality is that, while the PS3 is a more powerful system with more potential, developers aren’t (or weren’t) focusing on it as their main system, for whatever reason. I believe that as long as that is the case, we will never fully get to enjoy what the next generation of gaming consoles has to offer. However, as more people start to realize that the PS3 is a better overall system (albeit slightly more complicated… but those two tend to come hand in hand), we’ll start to see better games come out for the PS3. And when I say better, I mean better than the games that are currently on PS3, but also better than any games that could ever even be released on the Xbox 360. Articles like this reinforce PS3 stance as the more powerful gaming console, and thus contribute to giving people the extra push they need to start developing for the PS3.

yeah yeah yeah you all will find ways to get at the fucken ps3 with the same bullshit arguments. its like whenever theres a good argument about the ps3 yall got to bring out the “yeah but theres no games for it” “xbox 360 rules”. man yall need to shut the fuck up with your arguments. to avoid this bullshit yall need to at least writte something like “awesome” or “well good for the airforce” or “cool” but yall need to stop the “it aint got no games” go suck your own dick or something stupid fucks.

I feel that the PS3 is going to take huge leaps in the very near future. The games for the platform are really going to shine.

He stated “Third parties have started to move from the de facto 360 SDK. Of course people designed their next-gen games on it because that was the only one there. The PS3 shipped and so they said, ‘let’s port our 360 games to the PS3.’ But now companies are recognizing that ‘hey, if I start on the PS3 and then port down to the 360, my 360 game is going to look better than if I had just designed it for the 360.’ So the pendulum is swinging. The heads of development thinking ‘what’s going to show off my next-gen game that much better?’ It is to lead with the PS3 and then to port to the 360.”
