Microsoft claim Xbox 360 games better than Sony PS3 thanks to Gamerscore
Well it seems as if Microsoft have made a bold claim, they say that the Xbox has better games and is a much better console thanks to Gamerscore, which they say has helped it become a better games console than the Sony PS3.

Not so long ago Tracy Erickson from Gamepro made claims that the Sony PlayStation 3 was a better console for multi format releases. So it comes as no surprise that Microsoft would react to that.

Microsoft say that for multiplatform console owners, things like Achievements and Gamerscore are an influencing factor when people purchase an Xbox, which is why this system still sells well worldwide.

they are probably right in many instances simply due to the PS3 newer and more complex architecture…but the fact that they actually spent time formulating and circulating a response to this reeks of desperation and truely reveals how afraid they are about the ultimate failure of their console.

their “games” argument is all they have and they are gonna hold on to it for dear life.

  2. shrouder says:

They say things like achievements and gamerscore is why people prefer the 360. Well, isn’t the PS3 getting these sorts of thing incorporated except in Home. You’re right this is childish and is an act of desperation

I own a PS3 and i am addicted to Oblivion IV!I will buy a Xbox 360 in the near future as long as the hardware issues are solved….

  4. Scott M. B. says:

I loved my 360 but it’s dead now (Second one) and as soon as that Ps3 drops in price I am going to pick one up.
Mostly because of posts like this, Microsoft seems desperate so how long before they just release a new console completely? Would fix the RROD and disk errors but the life of MS consoles seems really short.

  5. sheppard says:

A couple month back sony(S. Haward) said the same sh1t.

  6. m3kw9 says:

Thing is no one cares/knows what gamerscore is till they actually bot an xbox360. Personally, I don’t care about the gamerscore/achivement thing. All I care is fun games, and yes Xbox360 bests PS3 in that dept.

  7. OMEN says:

M$!!! stop your whining,ps3 has better games on the long run, pluss M$ paies BILLIONS and BILLIONS of $$$$ to get 1 game exclusive.

  8. CRAZ says:

Face it! You’re done MS! Shouldn’t you quit making all these ridiculous statements and concentrate on rushing your next system to market. Maybe you could invent some sort of motion control wand or boogie board as a control device . . .

Gates: “… as we get natural input, that will cause a change. Software is doing vision and so, you know, imagine a game machine where youre just going to pick up the bat and swing it or the tennis racket and swing it.”

Host A: “We have one of those.”

    Host B: “Yeah. Wii.”

  9. Wii Consoles says:

I can tell from friends recs that xbox 360 games are better, but thats because there are not many titles on the ps3

  10. demonweb says:
