It has been announced that the iPod Touch and the iPhone are set to get new applications from iTunes store.
It’s said that Apple are all set to release the Software Development Kit for the iPhone which will enable many more third party applications.
The Software Development Kit will include key components that enable the iPhone to function which is necessary for application development and because the iPhone and iPod Touch are similar, the Software Development Kit should work for both.
This Software Development Kit is expected to be released next week

This is the tip of the iceburg.
It’s only going to get better.
They’re awesome! Best and most advanced PDA I’ve ever had, and like the other person said, it’s only “the tip of the iceberg”. Once I get a microphone for it, I’ll be able to use Skype. I’m saving tons of cash by finally getting an iTouch.
