Prince Harry UPDATE: MoD confirm Prince Harry to return from Afghanistan

Following on from the post earlier should Prince Harry be in Afganistan? We can now report that Prince Harry is to be withdrawn from Afghanistan immediately after a media blackout on his secret deployment was broken, the MoD has confirmed.

It is said that the Defence officials have decided to pull the third in line to the throne out of Helmand Province now instead of April as planned.

The MoD, in a statement it said that “This decision has been taken primarily on the basis that the worldwide media coverage of Prince Harry in Afghanistan could impact on the security of those who are deployed there, as well as the risks to him as an individual soldier.”

Harry has spent the past 10 weeks fighting, fulfilling his lifelong dream of serving on the frontline.
