Many people face dilemmas each and every day in life and that is the same when it comes to TV shows. We all like to watch certain programs here is just four of the most popular on TV, we have Heroes, Lost, Smallville and Stargate. I love all four of these, and Stargate as you know is the longest running out of all four. Smallville is the second longest running with Lost then Heroes.
Although Lost and Heroes are the shortest running of the four it has not stopped it gaining huge audience figures. However if someone was to ask which out of the four was my favorite, I think that would be a hard one to answer. Ok let me give it a try, Let’s start with Heroes, I have only seen the first series so that need more time to grow on me, Lost is in its fourth season and all though I am still hooked it seems to open up more questions than answer them.
Smallville I really do love, however I am still waiting to see Clark fly. Then we have Stargate, yep I have made up my mind that is my favorite out of the four. I have watched it from the start and it was a sad day when the decided to stop making them.
So what is your best TV show out of Heroes, Lost, Smallville or Stargate?

Battlestar Galactica!
I have to agree with you. I enjoy the four shows you listed. And by far my favorite has to be Stargate. I was wondering if you also enjoy Atlantis.
Ok sorry that i missed Battlestar Galactica, but come on against Stargate no contest.
As for Stargate Atlantis, it is a great show and the best in it has to be Dr McCay. However it still lacks that certain something that the original Stargate had.
I definitely enjoy Stargate Atlantis. In fact, I’m a huge fan. But it’s a different show.
Battlestar Galactica has important things to say about the world we live in. SGA tries to say some of those things, too, sometimes. Think of the episode in which there was a “bomb” planted in Atlantis and they had to decide whether to use torture to get the information.
But really, the two are apples and oranges. SGA tries to be a lightly arced episodic drama with some character exploration and a lot of humour. BSG tries to be a heavily arced, hard-hitting commentary on the human condition and current political issues in a framework of drama with detailed character exploration. They’re just trying to do different things, and I wish they could both have a long life and many opportunities to try to do what each wants to do.
But I just don’t think it’s accurate at all to say that it’s no contest. If this were some sort of knock-em-down, low-blow kind of contest, I’d be saying it’s no contest–the other way around.
I loved Stargate SG-1, and oddly according to some, loved the last couple seasons best, but it’s over now except for maybe a few movies. So while all the shows were on at the same time I would have picked Stargate, now I have to choose my current on going obsession and sadly, I have to admit that is Smallville. I adore BSG, but I don’t have the same manic relationship with that show as Smallville. SV has such potential for greatness (though it often swerves and misses) and I keep holding on, hoping for the day when my expectations and what is shown on the screen mesh. Sometimes I think I’m imagining the good that I see, and then I get convinced that the writers know what they are doing and in the end all will be worth it.
Smallville is a good show. But the only character drama there is on that show is whether or not Clark can trust Lana after a few seasons of that it’s a little old. The only reason I still like Smallville is purely for what Superman connections are revealed as the series progresses. Other shows like Lost BSG or Stargate have a lot more going for them.
I watch both Battlestar Galactica and Stargate. Compared to today’s Battlestar Galactica, Stargate is schlock. Not nearly cast as well and with far less imagination in plot and script, Stargate is closer to the old Battlestar Galactica of the late ’70s in its campiness and creativity.
My favorite is stargate and stargate atlantis stargate is the best SciFi show.
I bring greetings to you from Germany
They may have decided to stop making Stargate, but there’s the DVD movies coming out! Ark of Truth is out on Tuesday, actually, and it’s going to conclude the Ori story line. I’m hoping it does really well so they make more movies! Check out the trailer: Http://www.myspace.com/stargatearkoftruth
If you couldn’t tell, my vote is for Stargate
smallville is probably the best as it is avilable ro sci fi and non sci fi fans(stargate), it is not overly confusing with many plotholes(Lost), and has been consistent, not up and down with its seasons, (unlike heroes)
iam a fan of all 4 shows, and in all honesty out of these and even battlestar, smallville is
