A large explosion has ripped a roof off in a shopping Plaza at Waukegan Illinois, near Chicago. There is now a giant hole above the shops where there once was a roof. According to reports from Sky News, at least six people have been taken to hospital.
Fire crews from a number of towns nearby had to be called to help with the rescue effort, just to make sure that no one was still trapped inside and to make the area safe. An investigation will now go on as to what the cause of the explosion was, however Police Chief from Waukegan has said that early signs points to a gas explosion.
