Video: Nintendo DS features unique Sound Load technology and blips on Bangai-O Spirits

The cool Treasure shooter Bangai-O is coming to life on the Nintendo DS as Bangai-O Spirits which is due for North America in 2nd quarter of 2008. The former Dreamcast game is now being developed by D3Publisher.

The new game apparently will feature something weird which uses the DS’s microphone. The Bangai-O Spirits Sound Load feature will allow all you gamers the chance to share custom levels, replay videos as sound and high scores.

This means when the mode is active the selected data will be converted into an audio track which will play back through the speaker of the one Nintendo DS, plus it can be intercepted by the microphone of another where it is read and turned back into game data.
