Protesters have climbed on top of the Houses of Parliament roof, the Campaigners “Climate action group, Plane Stupid” are protesting against the expansion of London’s Heathrow Airport. Just the other day Greenpeace climbed on a Boeing 777 at Heathrow.
The protesters on the roof of Parliament then pulled out two banners, one said NO 3rd RUNWAY, with the other saying BAA HQ. One of the campaigners Leo Murray said “We have come to the roots of the home of democracy to highlight how absurdly undemocratic this Government has become.” He went on to say “The key thing here is to realize that this third runway and the rest of the Government plans are totally incompatible with their climate policies.”
