MySpace Being Sued For Role In Teen Suicide
As we all know there are many social networking sites out there like BeBo, MySpace and Facebook for everyone to go on and network with friends and family but lately there seem to be in the centre on suicides the question is why?

Back in 2006 Kristin Helms became one of those victims and there has been many since.

The family of 15 year old Kristin Helms are suing MySpace after she committed suicide in 2006.

Her parents blame MySpace and are in fact, they’re suing the Internet site for their role in the tragedy.

The reason for this is when Kristin committed suicide in 2006; she blamed Kiley Bowers, the 27-year-old man who travelled across state lines to meet her.

Even though Kiley and Kristin didn’t meet on MySpace, they did use it to communicate.

Now Kristin’s parents are calling for the policing of sites for sexual predators last summer.

Kiley Bowers is now serving a nine-year federal prison term in Texas for travelling across state lines to have sex with a minor and transporting child pornography.

How much responsibility do you think a social networking site should have in matters like these?

How could it possibly be the fault of MySpace? Parents simply need to learn how to protect their children in a completely new way. It is a different world where parents need to know what their children are doing when they are on the Internet. The dangers are out there and your kids are openly chatting about these dangers. The Internet predators are out there and your kids are chatting with them.

social networking sites should be more responsible and careful or they should be abolished or penalized strictly.
