Apple Multi-Touch patent: is it a step backward
We know how the gesture recognition has been for Apple as it has proved very popular on the iPhone, however we do start to wonder if the Multi-Touch Patent that Apple are trying for is just a step backward in the industry. They are hoping to add this feature into their Macbook Pro and Macbook Air.

The thing is Apple’s Multi-Touch technology without a doubt is a feature as you can do so many things with it, just like the pinching the screen to resize an image. However if they was to patent this technology, then doing the same gesture on let’s say a ThinkPad, it will do something totally different. That is something that could confuse so many people, sometimes it is best to have a universal feature and Multi-Touch should be one of them.
