Internet Could Be Safe For Kids in Two Years

When your kids are using the internet are you worried about them? I only allow my daughter to be on the internet when I’m around and I constantly check what she is doing. Luckily she just mostly plays on the CBBC website which is fine.
It has been said by The Children’s Charities Coalition that computer manufacturers would simply have to install filtering software on each of its new machines, which can protect children from entering violent or pornographic sites.
“The problem is that the industry has said up to now that parents have to take responsibility,” says John Carr from the CCCIS, who is due to address the inquiry. “But we know from studies that parents feel overwhelmed by it all.”
I think that this is a great idea and that it should be done immediately, but the responsibility should not always lie with manufacturers. Parents and family members should keep a close eye on what kids are looking at.
