This is Hitachi’s 2.5-inch 320GB Travelstar 5K320 hard drive which features optional Bulk Data Encryption (BDE) technology and a 3Gb/s data transfer rate, 4th generation PMR head technology, an improved actuator latch, only uses 1.8-watts of power when reading/writing and altitude-sensing Thermal Fly-height Control.

Now that’s all pretty cool, but it’s dwarfed by Fujitsu’s 500GB MHZ2 BT, this 2.5-inch laptop drive is not as nice as Solid state drives, but it has 500GB of laptop storage which makes it that much better. One draw back with Fujitsu’s MHZ2 BT is the non-standard height of 12.5mm, so this drive might not fit in all laptops.
