After all the terrorist attacks in the world you would think that Heathrow, the world’s busiest airport would have tight security. Well think again as security has been breached at London’s Heathrow by Greenpeace campaigners, who have also managed to climb on a Boeing 777 plane.
The Four protestors from Greenpeace also had a banner that was putting their point across about climate change. The banner that was placed on the tailfin of the Boeing 77 read “Climate Emergency - No Third Runway.”
Green peace did state that they waited until all passengers had disembarked from the plane before they breached the security and walked up to the plane and then climbed on. I have two worries about this, one it seems as if security is still poor at our airports, and secondly all it would take if for the banner to be caught by a gust of wind and find its way inside a plane’s engine, which could become very dangerous.
