Dust on Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 gets all gaming time

Although I love the Nintendo Wii, I never seem able to give it any gaming time as the Sony PS3 gets it all. The Nintendo Wii has been collecting dust, but I gave it a good go the other day by spending £160 on some new games and played for the evening because some family were over.
That was 4 days ago and since then it has not been used again, but the Sony PS3 has had many hours everyday on games like Call of Duty 4 and Unreal Tournament III.
Am I the only gamer with the Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii that has this problem, or do other gamers with both these systems find that the Wii only gets played when people are over at the most.

Have to agree. Wii is for when a mate comes round if we dont wanna play COD4. Wii has not been played in 3 weeks. PS3 is used every day if poss.
Who cares what you like to play more. You are one person and in the minority.
The MASSES like the Wii more, as is clearly demonstrated by SALES. Wii will continue to destroy PS3 this year because their are A LOT more casual gamers than dork gamers like yourself.
It’s cool that you like the PS3, and it is a fine system, but all you Sony fanyboys who continue to predict the demise of the Wii have absolutely no clue.
There is room for both, just a much larger market for Nintendo.
If you want to make money this year, put the money you would have spent on PS3 games into Nintendo stock.
I play my Wii, but admittedly my PS2 gets more time. Wii is great for Virtual Console, Metroid Prime, Mario Galaxy and internet, but it does lack the RPGs that I love.
just unplug the wii for the last time and going on ebay tomorrow…. even then kids prefer the PS3… wii was a great idea but needs more depth.
sorry im with nintendo and always will be. i have both ps3 and wii and at the min i have 2 ps3 games and 10 wii games. my primairy console is my wii. Have you not heard of metroid prime, mario galaxy, truma centre, RE:UC and game to come like no more heros, super smash bros brawl and mario kart. The wii defently has good games on it, there just different from the general shooter, racer and football games on the ps3.
and johnson the wiimote is a lot more advanced than the “complex” ps3 controller. nintendo specialise in user interface for games.
I agree, i play my wii more as a gamecube because the games are better. Party only and thats only short lived because the games are so repetetive. I love it and i hate it at the same time!
The Wii is an underpowered novelty. Good idea and in concept but lousy in practice. With loosy goosy controls and inferior graphics it’ll be remembered as the system that brought fresh blood into the gamer fold. The PS3 is a true next gen, forward thinking, and-with its sixaxis-a nod towards guesture based control (which IS the future…once they get all the wrinkles ironed out) and ubber high capacity blu ray drive, the PS3 is–currently–the ultimate gaming console.
… super smash bros, mario galaxy, no more heroes, red steel 2, star wars the forced unleashed (yes finally the star wars light saber game for the wii. red stell isnt out yet but no more heores is soon and so is smash bros and red steel 2 has already been confirmed by official nintendo magazine of the UK. assume the wii has next to no hardcore games, it was starved last year so nintendo could focus on capturing the casual market. I admit it still won’t have as hard core ghames as the ps3 and 360 but it deffinetely has quiet a few.
em its not a problem as such more of a situation realy. i havnt played the wii since finishing galaxy.meanwhile though ive been playing my 360 to death where the good games keep rolling out. was playing unreal t on ps3 but im getting my online kicks on xbox live mostly.simply cant be matched at the moment. on a final note…friend codes = worst idea ever.
OK - I am 34 years old and I agree with this article. I just like the PS3 better. I don’t want to jump around in my family room alone and play with my Wii. When I want to settle in for the evening, it’s with a nice warm cup of COD BABY!!! Wii just sucks.
