Ralph Nader for President: White House race more politically interesting or not

Now that Ralph Nader has said that he will run for President in 2008, this is going to make the White House race much more politically interesting. Other candidates running for U.S. President can certainly make a difference; you only have to look at the race in 2000 to see that.

When Mr Bush from Al Gore were in a virtual dead-heat in the state of Florida back in 2000, the BBC said “just a few hundred votes separated them and Mr Nader had taken 100,000 votes in Florida“. What if Nader did not run for President that year, the Democrats say most of them 100,000 votes would have gone to Al Gore.

So Ralph Nader will have an impact on the 2008 race for the White House, but by how much.
