Shrek And Donkey Have Been Named Best Movie Couple

Shrek and his sidekick Donkey have landed joint first place as best movie couple in a recent poll. Both characters were a huge success in all three Shrek films.

Shrek, voiced by Mike Myers, and Donkey (Eddie Murphy) were tied with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere for their coupling on Pretty Women.

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing came in joint third place with the loveable Homer and Marge Simpson from last year’s box office success, The Simpsons Movie.

Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal finished in the top ten for their role as gay cowboys in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain.

Grace Carley, representative of the UK Cinema Industry, who conducted the poll said,

“It’s an unusual choice. Shrek and Donkey are not even human.”
