Plasma and LCD Flatscreen TV demand to double by 2012

Flatscreen TV demand
JEITA is a Japanese industry group and they are reporting that we should see the demand for flatscreen TVs double over the next 4 years. They are predicting that in 2012 we should see 155 million LCD TVs sold worldwide and 25 million plasma TVs.

This demand will be driven by strong sales in China and the United States, the pattern should be followed across all countries around the world and currently JEITA see Panasonic leading the plasma TV market, while Sony leads the LCD TV market.
