Last month we heard rumors of more price cuts for the Xbox 360, while it has been officially announced by Microsoft that Canada is to get a price cut effective immediately…this was not what everyone wanted to hear.
The Canada Xbox 360 Elite will now cost $449, the Arcade $279, and the Xbox 360 Pro $349.
Do you think other countries should get another Xbox 360 price drop?

I’m from Canada and I think it is great news. The reason for the price cut is that the US Dollar/economy is doing so bad as the whole world knows. Therefore the Canadian dollar has gone up in value compared to the Greenback (US Dollar)being on par and at time even worth more. So the problem is that in the US the price of products are cheeper compared to the Canadian price. Yet our dollar is on par with the US. So many people are going to the US to buy products because it is cheeper and our dollar goes further. So Canadian retailers had to price cut to be in line with US Prices. That is why the 360 has got a price cut. I even bought Rock Bank at a walmart in Buffalo for my buddy which is only 1hour 1/2 from Toronto because 1 it was not available in Canada at the time and 2 it was cheeper. Thank you Microsoft for getting the price in line. Now we need another price cut.
