The death of HD DVD continues, renaming players to clear shelves to combat format fallout

What will they do next when it comes to the format war fallout? Well it is clearly shown by the links below and the source links as well that in an attempt to clear the shelves of HD DVD player’s retailers are taking extra measures to clear stock.
They are for one slashing prices to a very low price plus renaming the players in the hope it will get rid of stock as well. Play.com for example are renaming players.
Below you will see that thanks to Google Cache the Toshiba HD-EP30 HD DVD Player is what it was called on the 15th February and now the current listing it is called the HD-EP30 HDMI Upscaling Player with HD DVD High Definition Playback.
Do they really think that by renaming these player people will fall for it?
