Mr Michael Bay go on breath baby breathe that sigh of relief, Paramount and yes including Dreamworks has officially gone all Blu-ray my friends. According to Engadget they have said that two and half years after they announced itself purple and exactly five months after becoming that soon to be dead in the water HD DVD exclusive, the new move makes all six Hollywood Studios Blu-ray haven.
Engadget went on to say which we find funny, do not make a space for that Blu-ray edition of Transformers in your DVD rack just yet because the company plans on monitoring consumer adoption and determine our release plans accordingly, they even said that with the Sony PS3 sales up and that BD Live is on its way they can’t imagine it will be long at all.
Can you expect to see Paramount and Universal new releases hitting DVD and Blu-ray at the same time by late spring or early summer? Well this is what The Hollywood Reporter expects to see.
Let us all face it, Blu-ray has won the format war and we will see all companies moving over to that format it is as simple as that. We can tell you know there will be a lot more news on the Blu-ray syndrome.
