Microsoft officially announce Gears of War 2 Xbox 360 release date

Oh yes this goes out to all you Xbox 360 gamers, Microsoft have just recently and officially announced Gears of War 2 launch exclusively for the Xbox 360. This announcement came straight from the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2008.
Cliff Bleszinski who is Epic Games Inc.’s lead designer announced that this epic saga of Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad continues exclusively on the Microsoft gaming console this fall with Gears of War 2.
The first Gears of War game was a 4.5 million selling blockbuster and this sequel is set to smash that number, apparently being so good that it will take high-definition visuals to a whole new level.
The new game will have unreal 3.0 technology which means that it will enhance shadow highlights; better water effects and renders soft bodies.
Gears of War 2 the exclusive game on the Xbox 360 will be available to all you gamers this November.

The only things that really hurt the originals fun and longetivity for me were: The online match making system was garbage, the insane/unfair advantage the host has for every online match, and the short single player campaign.
Don’t get me wrong though, when it first came out this game absolutely rocked and still rocks today. The graphics are beautiful, the cover system is revolutionary, chainsaw and shotguns kills are sick, and storyline is amazing. Gears of War 2 will hopefully look better, continue the single player story, more weapons, eliminate some of the online bugs, and will come even closer to a perfect game than the original. A few hopes for GoW2: Larger online maps and 8v8 matches, 4 player coop, and PLEASE LET US TAKE DOWN SOME OF THOSE BIG SUCKERS THIS TIME!
