If you wanted to know exactly what the new games were like on the Zune player, and it seems to me that the older first-gen Zunes are also compatible for playing these games as well. The Guys over at Engadget had a chance to play the game Zauri, which is a space shooter. When the game was played on an older Zune 30 they had trouble using the Zunepad to control the ship, however when used with a 2nd-gen Zune things worked fine.
Zauri only uses up 16MB, so there is no worries about it taking up any storage space, the first beta tools development tools is hoped to be released as early as spring. Sorry there is not much more to go on, but you know how Microsoft likes to keep things quite.
