Heath Ledger Joker Doll Set To Go On Sale

An action figure of Heath Ledger as The Joker in The Dark Knight is set to go on sale. The role of The Joker is Ledger’s final full role after he died of an overdose of prescription drugs on January 22nd.

The actor’s family has given the studio the green light for Ledger’s character to be included in the range of Mattel figures which will be released with the film.

The Joker toy, which comes armed with a rocket launcher and a knife, will hit shelves in May.

A spokesman for Ledger’s family has said,

“Heath was very proud of his work in the film and his family is aware and supportive of the plans for the movie.”
