Blu-ray won thanks to Sony PS3: different if Xbox 360 had HD-DVD

We have had comments from people that own both HD players and while both are very similar, the cost of HD DVD was preferred by many consumers but with over 10.5 million PS3 consoles sold and Toshiba has sold only one million HD DVD machines, this gives Sony Blu-ray a massive advantage which looks better to the movie studios.
If the Xbox 360 had HD DVD, how many homes would have had a HD DVD drive?
