Knight Rider 2008: What Did You Think?

Knight Rider was big back in the 80’s but it seems the 2008 TV Movie wasn’t as successful. Although the cast was good and the new improved KITT was awesome, the movie failed to live up to fans expectations. However, as a pilot episode for a series, it has potential.
Val Kilmer excelled as the voice of KITT and it could be argued that the car was the only good part of the movie! The plot, about a bunch of bad guys who try to steal hard drives from Charles Graiman, was a little weak. It seemed the plot was there to just pave the way for impressive car chases.
I wasn’t really impressed by Knight Rider, but that’s just my opinion! I want to know, what did you think of Knight Rider?

RC Knight Rider Car: Kitt makes the perfect gift for Christmas
So the most advanced car in the world has a live rear axle? You’d think that independent suspension and a limited-slip differential would be handy chasing bad guys if they, I don’t know… turn a corner?
Wasn’t that K.I.T.T’s parts we saw lying in a pile on the floor of the Garage in the begining of this Movie? Sure looked alot like his steering wheel on the ground… maybe he’ll make a guest appearance but since the show is made by Ford, that will be a longshot.

The original KITT did make a cameo. When they are walking through the garage at the beginning it can be seen in the lower right of the screen during the wide pan.
And as for camp and cheese I love the show. Considering 90% of the other drivel on TV, this was refreshingly fun.
how do you have a knight rider MOVIE without any TURBO-BOOSTS!? its like having a dukes of hazzard show without any “yeeeee-haaaas” Also, the glass not being bullet proof without the computer and the hack-ablility of the car were pathetic. The car contains all access to the thing the bad guys are after but contains less than 1% of the firewall that promethius had and no internet on/off command. nice. touch. writers. Otherwise, ill give it one more shot (which better contain a Karr nemesis).
This is a dream! im an avid diecast ford mustang collector and a hardcore knight rider fan! truly, kit is the ultimate car. one thing i noticed is that it doesnt have the black rims..please use black rims..it is what makes KITT stand out from the rest (black paint, red moving light and black rims)
Ummm…. just one more point to add. I disliked this show so much probably because NBC yanked a perfectly good, no… great show from their lineup after only 13 episodes. The fact that they are putting drivel like this on the air instead of continuing the story of Journeyman infuriates me. It just goes to show you that the heads at NBC don’t really know what the public wants. All they are interested in is regurgitating a classic show into modern crap. GET SOME ORIGINALITY!!! At the rate they are going, they might as well switch the whole network over to reality crap. Maybe they should do a reality show about taking classic television shows from the past and bastardizing them to the point of no return. Yay!!!!!
I loved knight rider back in the 80’s, and had to do my homework first before watching it. Now I have DVR to record it. I loved it. Also no home work, lol. Also loved the Dukes of Hazzards, Magnum PI, Fall Guy, Riptide, Simon and Simon, Hardcastle and McCormick, A Team, and other shows from back then, loved them all. Keep up the good work. Love the new Knight Rider.
watched it, didnt like it, but will continue to watch the series when its available.
however, the movie ended with the car being dropped off in prague (i think, or i may have missed something). but it clearly was not prague, and if they are going to try and pass off far away lands but still shoot in america, i will be turning off very quickly.
