What Did You Think?

Knight Rider was big back in the 80’s but it seems the 2008 TV Movie wasn’t as successful. Although the cast was good and the new improved KITT was awesome, the movie failed to live up to fans expectations. However, as a pilot episode for a series, it has potential.

Val Kilmer excelled as the voice of KITT and it could be argued that the car was the only good part of the movie! The plot, about a bunch of bad guys who try to steal hard drives from Charles Graiman, was a little weak. It seemed the plot was there to just pave the way for impressive car chases.

I wasn’t really impressed by Knight Rider, but that’s just my opinion! I want to know, what did you think of Knight Rider?

It’s supposed to be entertainment and as the series develops I’m sure it will be as good, if not better than the original. Give the writers and cast time and let them grow.

  2. Mary says:

I agree the car was pretty sweet. This is going to look bad to some people but the relationship implication at the beginning of the show — was it really necessary? How did the bad guys know they were in Las Vegas?!? Sorta Cheesy but David looked good at the end.

  3. Eric says:

I liked it over-all. Its got some character development that needs to happen, but you can’t do that in a 2hr movie. I just hope that it got the #’s it needed to continue. I think the car scene is back and there are enough guys today that remember this series that can now afford a car like that, like we always wanted to. Who wouldn’t like to drive KITT?
If the network see the potential and puts the money where it counts to create a good story then this could be a GREAT SHOW! I’ve got my fingers crossed.

  4. Chris says:

I like the car but it wasnt as I thought it would be even though I thought it was alright it still could have been alot better!

  5. Matt says:

I actually liked Knight Rider and would give it a chance over the craptastic reality shows or American Idol we have to deal with. Then again, let’s just make another CSI and call it a day.

Was that the program that was on briefly between the two hours of commercials?
Looked like it had potential….hope it is not a trend of having 20 min. of show wapped up by 1 hour and 40 min of selling ..

I was a huge fan of the show when I was a kid; however I’m not a fan of the new one- it was simply mustang porn, and yes! That also includes the bad acting before you get to the good stuff. The acting was bland and unemotional. It just seemed to be there to give a reason to show closeups on the car. That’s all great an all. But the car can’t support the show! And I’m a mustang guy whose company custom regularly works on 500-1000 hp stangs- you just can’t have a show about the car. It reminded me of Fast & the Furios 2. I think the worst acting came when Michael’s mom died. There was no emotion. It hurt to watch. I simply think that this is Fords answer to Gm’s Transformers movie. Cool car, I love the history, but I won’t be missing Family Guy again to watch it.

  8. Alan Fox says:

My family and I set glued to our set as we felt like we were visited by an old updated friend. We found the story line a little week but found the acting great. We look forward to the coming weekly shows.

After watching the weatherchannel and news for several weeks waiting for a new amazing race…I thought it was great…I like all of it especially the actors and voice of kilmer.

The show (Cobra Logo) was OK. I feel that (Commercial) the characters (Cobra logo) need more time to develop. (Commercial) The car was sweet. (Commercial) However there was a lot of bad acting. (Commercial) The show tried to make up (Cobra Logo) for the bad acting by (Commercial) featuring the car over and over again. (Commercial) However you can’t base a show on (Cobra Logo) just a car. I will give this show a few more episodes (Cobra Logo)(Commercial) before I make the decision to remove it from my tivo. OH, did I mention that there was too much brand marketing and commercials?
