Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell To Replace Heath Ledger In Parnassus?

Ever since the death of Heath Ledger, there have been rumours of who will replace him in Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, which Ledger was working on up until his death.
It has now been reported that not one but three actors have been confirmed to play the role Ledger left behind. According to ain’t it cool, the three actors confirmed are none other than Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell. They will all play Ledger’s character, a man trying to save the daughter of a travelling showman who sold her to the devil in exchange for eternal youth.
The three actors all look very different, obviously, but I’m sure Gilliam will come up with a fantastic way to change appearances.
I think Gilliam has chosen three excellent actors to pay tribute to Ledger and I think all the actors will do a fantastic job.

if this is a certainty, because i have not as yet read it in variety or the hollywood reporter, but if it is, it is a brilliant idea. one actor replacing heath might have left himself up to criticsism by comparison, but taking jude law, johnny depp, and colin farrell. you have three excellent actors and if they do it as a tribute they can’t miss…the curiosity alone and the fan base of these three guarantee a blockbuster.

ELi indeed you are right,the person deserves a raise now every body is waiting to see that movie, it was a brilliant idea, and the casting is awesome, three magnificent actors, i hope it true and to top that colin(my idol) johny and jude they are giving the money to the charity, how cool is that.

heath Ledger was a superb actor and could be compared to the likes of mel gibson with his emotional power on screen,he will never be replaced…although it is a smart move on the part of the director to use 3 great actors to continue Ledgers’ work.
Heath Ledger was absolutely phenomenal. an absolute God. a man who became a legend never truely dies. he can never be ‘replaced’ but anyone that should do it should be Johnny Depp. but Heath’s irraplaceable. rip Heath, your home is now in our hearts and from there you will never depart.
