Polymer Vision Readius
This is the Polymer Vision Readius phone and it’s included technology (e-ink/e-paper) is something that I am looking forward to seeing in many devices, including phones over 2008 and 2009.

Finally we all get to see a hands-on with an e-ink phone; in this case it’s the Polymer Vision Readius, which Engadget managed to get their fingers on.

The Polymer Vision features Bluetooth, SMS, expandability via microSD, tri-band GSM / EDGE and dual-band HSDPA. The phone is not fantastic at cellular calling and messaging; instead it’s aimed at getting content via the Readius portal. This content will include audio books, mags, newspapers, feeds and other content they choose to add.

The list will expand, but for now the device will support books in HTML, text files, and PDFs.

Now, we can only hope that Palm licenses the folding screen technology for the next generation of Treos.

I so look forward to reading all my ebooks on something bigger than 320×320
