Recently confirmed Harman Kardon announced support for Blu-ray video standard whilst hinting at a standalone player which will cost in the region of £500 ($980), the details are pretty slim about the new Blu-ray player called the DVC 600.
A spokesman on the other did say that they will release additional players which will include all in one AV systems (According to What Hi-Fi).
The forthcoming DVC 600 combination Blu-ray/HDD recorder is a fantastic player it seems with the ability to record up to eight channels of standard or even high-definition TV to a 1 Terabyte hard drive.
The stunning DVC 600 will also be capable of recording a ninth time shifted channel which in short terms means you can play through a tenth for live viewing, other features include DVD and CD playing support plus optional DVD and Blu-ray burner is available as well.
Oh yes indeed the features carry on such as connect to home theatre systems through a range of inputs like USB, DVI and analogue A/V connections, 720p video up-scaling is supported plus there will be a 500GB model available which has been dubbed the DVC 300.
