The video below the fold shows a hands-on with Sony PS3’s PlayTV, the Digital PVR with PSP connectivity. The BBC, which has 26% of the UK viewers, did the hands-on that means anything up to 10 million people could see information on this Playstation 3 gadget…sales increase expect.

In the video they outline the features and Playstation Portable interconnectivity, you get to watch live TV on your PSP with WiFi.

While some Xbox 360 owners will say IPTV is free on the 360 and you have to pay for TV on the PS3, maybe they might want to remember the money they have to pay each year for online gaming compared to the free gaming on the PS3…pro’s and con’s to both.

  1. Johan says:

Sony(and others) are working on the open IPTV solution, which will be out as a standard for IPTV this spring.. that is very good for the costumers …

Will there in a standard looking remote. As i’m sure many partners (my girlfriend included) would have a hard time using the PS3 game pad.

I know there is a BD remote, but it seems to be missing a Record button, guide button etc. Only seems suitable for DVD/BRay players.
