Should Sony PS3’s Call of Duty 4 let you select a server, game or region to join?

Since the Call of Duty 4 v1.1 Patch, many gamers have said they are able to get into games faster but they have also been complaining of games being empty and do not fill or they get dropped into games that are already underway and your put on the losing side as players drop out…this affects your win/lose ratio.
Since the v1.1 update you now can connect to worldwide servers, this is one reason games are faster to get into but many gamers have said they get excessive lag after this change.
So should Activision let Playstation 3 gamers select a server, game or region to join in COD4?

i like how you get in but i do not like how the rooms are empty, and how it moves you to the losing team, i think it would be okayto move ppl from the bottom of the list on the winning team, but not from the top
I also hate when hosts end a game, I think Activision should have it so when the host drops out, another player ingame takes his place. hopefully all you guys feel the same way so we can change that. but yeah, picking a server would be great
i hate match making in call of duty4 its fuked up. i wish they had servers
Yes, this is RIDICULOUS. Every PC fps ever made let’s you choose a server, why doesn’t CoD 4 on the PS3? It sucks leaving a laggy server, and having the game throw you right back into the same game. It’s completely stupid. And why the hell would ANYONE want to play on a server off on another continent? The lag will always be unacceptable for most people. They need to add options to at least turn this off, and a setting so that you can tell it never to return to the server you just quit. As it is, it’s borderline unplayable.
And why can’t we choose which maps we want to play? Seriously. Warhawk owns this game from an online configuration standpoint, and the fact that it has central servers vs. CoD 4’s user-based servers is no real excuse for most of this.
man, I think that they should had a server option because it is impossible to know in which server you are going in, and also think that the hosts could only leave the game when the game ends.
I am max leveled and I think it was much harder getting there than other games I`ve players because I think that COD4 is the best game ever, but it should consider some improvements on the areas commented.
