Dell acquires MessageOne email service in $155 million deal: Can they compete with Google?

Strange or not in the world of weird acquisition’s Dell have just acquired MessageOne email service in a $155 million cash deal. What we cannot understand is that MessageOne was co-founded by and get this Michael Dell’s brother Adam who now in fact manages investment funds.
The same investment funds with partial ownership of MessageOne, and the genetic crew are investors in. Mr Michael Dell his wife and children will get a staggering $12M from the deal with Adam getting $970k and their parents getting a massive $450k.
Dell has said that for Michael’s part he will donate his family’s money directly to a charity and was excluded from negotiating the acquisition.
Anyway moving on from this strange news what we want to know is “Do they really think they can compete against the likes of Google and MicroHoo?
